A Beautiful Little Song Bird

This is Sparrow Song

She is a beautiful 3 year old girl from a wonderful family that I want to tell you about today.

Sparrow is going in to have her 3rd and final heart surgery tomorrow at Levine Children's Hospital.

Please join a huge group of bloggers/friends and Luke and I to pray with us!

We are praying for her surgery to go well with NO surprises, for the doctors, for her mama and daddy and brother Noah. We are praying for peace and quick and easy healing after her surgery, and for all the finances to come in!

If you would like to do more than just pray, here is a list that Jessie, Sparrow's mom, gave us.

*Age-appropriate movies (DVD’s)

*Books & puzzles – the girl LOVES books and puzzles!

*Art & Education – paper, pens, colors, crayons and anything that would assist her in learning how to write her letters, numbers, colors, shapes, etc… She is VERY interested in learning and naturally with me being a teacher, I’d rather stoke that fire than let her watch 5 Disney movies a day.

*Anything with or having to do kitties – she’s obsessed. Hello Kitty, stuffed kitties, cats, kittens, lions, tigers, she loves them all. She sings Katy Perry’s “Roar” everyday.

*Sparrow has a Leapster Explorer and a Leapster Tag – games and books for both of these devices would be a HUGE help! They are educational and entertaining.

*Sparrow also loves Squinkies – they’re tiny figurines that she collects.

*Flowers, balloons, cards, accessories, and treats

Please also consider giving financially. A few weeks ago Sparrow had to go in for a cath lab, that was a same day procedure and it cost the Mathis's $64,000. Tomorrows surgery will be 4-6 hours long and she will have to be in the Hospital for over 2 weeks.

Truth, my heart breaks for this family in ways I cannot explain, if this was my Haddie girl I would be beside myself! Sweet Sparrow just had her 3d birthday in August and I can't wait to see her 4th!
