Lately and Baby News

I feel like a new woman today.

These past months have been filled with lots of blessing and new, but also lots of heart pain and trials. Living in the camper was really hard, and I''ll leave it at that.

Finding out that I was pregnant was so great and we had been trying so it was not a surprise. Then I got hit with a lot of sickness and some pain. Then we moved in the mist of it all and wedding season for our photography business. I felt beyond overwhelmed because I felt like I could not function. I was just waiting for my first trimester to be over and then maybe I would be ok?! Then a few days later, after my first tri was over, I started bleeding. Not a lot, but enough to make us worried.

We ran to get an ultrasound. Then we had to rush and try and get all our insurance stuff figured out. They said that I have a low lying placenta and something on my cervix. Then a few days later I had some bright red blood, so we went to the ER. They said that I had a subchorionic bleed, a bleed between my uterus and my placenta. So he said see an OB this week and pelvic rest, and no lifting and lots of rest. Trying to find an OB that would take me was a nightmare, and when I finally found one they wouldn't see me till the following week. There was a lot more jerking me around and lots of waiting while I was having pain and bleeding that didn't make a lot of  sense.

Truth I was getting scared and nervous, but mostly angry that it was taking so long to get answers. So after a long day yesterday and a few tests and an ultra sound I finally know what is going on with my body and my baby. Baby is doing great! Yay! The "thing" on my cervix is a polyp, a fancy word for a growth totally normal on a woman who has had babies before. Because I am pregnant it is growing with the extra estrogen that is in my body right now. Not cancerous and won't interfere with birth. It is causing some of the bleeding, but it is no danger to me or baby.

I also have scar tissue, on my cervix. My placenta is still lying low so that also is causing some of the bleeding, as it rubs the cervix. On top of all that I have an infection that is causing me pain and my cervix to be red and swollen also causing some bleeding.  I can take an antibiotic for my infection, but we need to pray that my placenta moves up with my uterus as it grows just enough to have a vaginal birth and not a c-section! Also they found a lot of extra blood lakes, blood pockets, in my placenta. I had the same thing with Judah. It can be serious but can be fine also. Let's pray for the later and I will let you know if any thing else happens.

Finally I know why I was sooo sick and why I am bleeding. We are not TOTALLY in the clear but pretty darn close. I am so happy to get settled in our house and focus on life more, now.
Thank you to all the friends who loved and helped us along the way. Who prayed with us and watched our kids for us. Thank you to our family that loved, supported, prayed, and came to help us. We appreciate you all more than we could say!

Yes, we are in our house and so thankful and now we can start enjoying it :)

Love you all

  2. Love you guys so much and I'm praying for you! I definitely know what it's like to have scary female complications and not have insurance...and not have any doctor want to see you. It's the worst and scariest feeling in the world. I'm so glad that you've got it figured out and am praying that "as you go" you will be healed and your body will only heal more and more as time goes and you can have a natural birth. Love you and praying! *hugs*
